The counter piece to most of the other 'tree pics'.
Simply brilliant. :-)

the strength of the contrast, and the power of the one point of the tree is amazing... reminds me of how they centered linkin parks "one thing"... it starts with one thing indeed... amazing :omg:

Very nice. All these dead old lonely trees have a tale. I always wonder what they are.

Absolutely wonderful. I have this strange draw to dead trees... I always have to stop and take pictures of them.
Something about the gnarled, wise and devastated look of a dried out old tree....

Love the contrast, if it would of been lighter think you would lose the effect of the whole image. It wouldnt have the same emotional feel to it.

Wow! I love how dark this image is. Very emotional picture, for me at least.

as allways in love with the black and white.
today also with the simplicity of the 'model' thats such a characteristic natural thing out there in the wilds...

I love the shot, but it's a little too dark for me. I'm having a hard time seeing the fence and the details of the bark.

almost like it's dancing one of those slow dances that geisha used to maneuver. Slowly reaching upwards while shifting silently and still like a pool of clear water.

It is curious ...

the obvious thought is that we anthropomorphize nature

the less obvious is that our influence on nature is transcendent ... the bio-information travels about below normal signal detection possibility and influences nature on an intimate, pattern level.
