Travel by Scott James Prebble
I hate that I have to take my old car, a train and a tram to see you but it’s worth every moment when you open the door on your little apartment. As soon as your hand touches me all is forgotten about my travel, my week or anything else actually. Your little place is a home away from home to me, even though it’s sparse, a simple poster on the wall, a bed by the window and an empty fridge with a picture of us on it. I love when every time I look out from the shower you are always looking at me, knowing you love me that much warms my soul. I love that you know about my womanizing ways of the past and that you know I have learnt from my many mistakes and that you say that you have the most mature and sensitive version of me and you know there is a reason why I didn’t commit to any of the others, and the only commitment you ask of me is to hold your hand whenever I can even though I would give you more, so much more.
