excellent location, although it's a shame that it's dried up. Still, it seems very calming.

A very still, calm scene but I get the impression that any moment a car is going to race past at high speed possibly in a rather Mad Max-like style. I think there's something about the framing being rather cinematic and the rich colours that give that impression.

Thats a good reason to think about the loss of sweet water we're taking. Just give mankind some years and sweet water will be as expensive as oil.

:). Did you use a polaroid filter on this one? Oh, and one rude question, are you sure the black levels are right? the bottom right corner seems not completely black :). Forgive me, I'm Dutch :).

I used a circular polarizer on this one, and each monitor looks different I guess, the black levels look okay on my monitor.

Yes, looking back at it, I probably was looking at it from a sub-optimal angle on my LCD. This highlights the small variations in black levels at the bottom end of the histogram.

I just simply love this one, mr Scott :)The sky color is pretty impressive, very intense.

Also, I'd like to notice, that (I have no idea wether you planned it or it just came out to be like that?) the shade of a cloud gives awesome effect of almost changing the scenery. Dark -> Small light -> Dark -> Lots of light, but far away.

Besides, it's an old lake, so it's even more cool. Not the most popular subject - originality above all!

I love it :D

this is really beautiful, it's almost as if you can feel and hear and experience everything coming from it because of it's clarity and the not-so bright feeling it gives off. very nice : )

It is more of a paddock, correct, but they think once they get enough rain it will fill up again and we will be waterskiing on it.
