this is one is difficult to pin down ....
it's frighteningly desperate
it's quietly peaceful
it's touchingly private
it's subtley hopeful

it tugs in a bit of a perculiar way, so i have to love that ;)

I hate to give "fluffy" feedback, but I can't put my finger on -why- I like this one so much. I just do ^_^

You don't always need to pin down why you like something to actually like it.

I dunno, I just don't think it's good -feedback- to point out I like something if I don't have anything to say about it, really.

Call me crazy *shrugs*

om nom nom nom saturation.
i was wondering when you were going to post this as a deviation... seeing as it's been sitting in your journal for a couple of days now.

the black of that jacket is totally so much very much intense.

Nick Cave came straight to mind, around the Boatman's Call, withdrawing and withdrawn, everything's fucked and must be confessed. I get 'the man in black' too, 'the black dog' even....

Good to see you creating again!
Nice photo!Sad but very expressive!
I would love him to see standing on the cross roud, alone, sad and lost......thinking were to continiue his way....
But hope tomorrow will be a day and the sun will shine again and the life will continiue......

I think even without the cross roads there is a certain sense of loss and feeling of wondering whether this is the right path he has taken in life.

Sorry, I think I forgot the golden rool:"never tell Man,what to do" :)
Last time i am keeping in my mind haw to create a painting:somebody standinding on the cross roud...and call it "lost". But meanwhile I can't deside haw to do this, may be it wil tke some time till it will be ready in my imagination.
This photo is making me think about: were he is going? to the pub, for to have some drink?
to close friend ,to have some talk.
To enother woman?... or to work? I finded from my exspirience, that working is very halpful in this kind of situations...
Anyway,i like your photo. And yes, there is a sense of loss and it's touching my heart....

I love this in terms of the dark mood. As soon as I saw this piece I thought of this picture: [link]. It's the cover of a CD, a collection of the best songs from Johnny Cash, the legend, the man in black...

The depth that's created by the trail and foliage is so subtle to me and impacts the image wonderfully, amazing use of the landscape :)
