DAMN Scott!
That is absolutely astounding for a first attempt.

The depth of field and focus just blow me away.
The highlights and shadows are perfect.

:+fav:
Would LOVE to see more macro shots from you.

One of my fav images of mine is a leaf that had caught a single drop of water from a quick downpour in Michigan YEARS ago. This one puts that to shame! Well done Scott!

Macro. Love it. Perfect light, depth of field, color.

It makes me think of lying on my stomach beneath an enormous tree, smelling the dirt, grass, and leaves, and staring into the abyss, catching just this leaf in my vision and studying every vein. It makes me feel like one with the earth and light.

An amazing epiphany really. I have grasped it more than once and fell straight through.

Epiphany = a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.

Kinda looks like an old leaf,...LOL
Should I notice that it resembles some of your painting or perhaps it is just the texture and colour hyper-awareness of macro thang?
I like it, because you transport your preference for crowding the frame with strong composition and superb light, from tush to macro, to archi, to life.

Macro certainly isn't my forte James, but when I got lent a kit I decided to give it a shot, it's not something I'm about to start doing on a regular basis....;)

But thanks for your thoughts on the experiment.
