Nicki and I are wonderful friends, she came out from LA in 2005 and we had an amazing week. She is one of the funniest and coolest people I have ever met. We created some great images, most of which can be seen in my gallery.
Nickis contribution to deviantart is never questioned, from her self portraits, to her work with other photographers, her poetry and constant support for others work and talents, she is a valued member of this community, and a bloody great woman. [link]

Nicki....."I got back from Australia and shooting with Scott last week. I had an incredible time, although far too short. Scott is an amazing photographer to work with, and I could not have asked for a better to person to model for, especially with it being my first time and all. He is a true artist, and I have never felt as beautiful as I do when I look at the pictures. Thank you, Scott!"

Image Description

Fiona is just one of those people that photographers love to find. She is in no way scared of the lens, and will do anything for the best image. I have had her laying on the weirdest things in the oddest places, yet she has never complained once. But what she really excels at are portraits, she has a face that is one of the most versatile that I have ever seen, changing from an angel to a devil in a split second and back again after the frame is captured. I always have the best time shooting with her because I truly never know what is going to come of it, but I’m always surprised by the quality of the outcome. She is a true talent and a muse in every sence of the word.

Fiona…… “The very first day I met Scott, I was a little scared and didn’t really know what to expect. I rocked up at his door, and all I could think was…….. If he looks nothing like his profile picture I’m just gonna run!!!!! Luckily for me (and him I guess), it really was him that answered the door.

I’d never done any modeling before, let alone nude photos, we had discussed that prior, so we worked on portrait images and I had a great time. Scott and I became very close friends and it didn’t take long, maybe a week or so before I offered to pose for nude images.

Since then we have done many, many shoots together. The thing about Scott is that he has this amazing ability to make you feel very comfortable. He is always professional, and he makes you feel like there is no-one else in the world but you and him, and his camera of course.

His work is amazing, like nothing I’d ever seen before. He has a particular style that I love and I could easily point out his photos from anyone else’s. It makes you want to be part of it.

I’ve never done a shoot with anyone else after him, and for some reason, I really don’t want to. No one else can make me look as good as he does. In his photos I look how I want to look, how I think I look inside. He's the only one who can do it. He made me feel better about myself, always pushed me to do better than I thought I ever could. I find him inspiring, and I will never forget the time we spent together.”

Tish is just one of those genuine people you can’t help but be friends with, she is funny, witty and just plain dead sexy. She comes alive in front of the camera, and I still class the portraits I do of her as some of my best. I’m proud to call her my friend and hope to continue shooting her until we are all old and wrinkly (I’ll get there first). [link]

Tish.....“I have known Scott for about 2 years now and every time i see him he becomes more like an old friend. I was so nervous the first time i went and shot with him but he made me feel relaxed (the roofie in my coffee helped alot too) and before i knew it i was butt-naked on his bed! He has such a horrible job...

He's a kind hearted and quiet spoken man who is so very passionate about his work, you only have to look at his images to see the dedication coming through. Even if that dedication means standing naked on the pier of a dried up lake in the middle of winter with a gale force wind threatening to blow his frozen butt-cheeks off... No wait that was me...

Anyways, Scott is one of the great artists who blow apart the stereotype of the aloof and distant artist, he loves his work and his subject and has the ability to make any woman look beautiful regardless of age or shape. I recommend him highly. Cos he rocks! "

Rosie and I have worked together on many projects, from shooting in old buildings, to creating images around songs, to working with water in bath based series of shots. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, has an amazing shaped body for artistic nudes and is a great artist and photographer in her own right. Her gallery is defiantly worth a devwatch. [link]

Rosie….”I’ve been a fine art model for just over a year now and have been working extensively with Scott for that period of time. He has single handedly shown me that I truly am a beautiful person. I always knew I was on the inside but didn’t really believe it when I was told, at least not until the first shoot with Scott. Working together was just a great experience, but it wasn’t until I got the shots on CD that I was really surprised.

Over the last year it has been incredible to see how much I have learnt; in the beginning I could only do simple poses with lots of direction, where as now I can almost bend my lower back into a 90 % position. As my confidence and belief in Scotts vision grew I started doing shoots with other models. I have so far done some wonderful shoots with tash and harmony. I have to say meeting and working with these two strong and beautiful women really enforced the importance in helping other women to see that having the belief and love for yourself is the best form of confidence you’ll ever need.

So thank you Scott, for opening my eyes to a new world, and for being the amazing friend you are.”

I have wanted to work with Jesi for quite some time now. She claims to not be artistic but the way she moves her beautiful shape around you can tell the years of dance training come through; she is graceful in a very artistic way. She is also softly spoken and always has something interesting to say, we had a fun all be it very warm day creating images based around various themes, and even managed to get in her first fine art shoot, and when asked what it was like doing this for the first time the answer came back as “I’m not naked, I’m wearing shoes!!” the best one liner I have heard in some time…..hehehe. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, as I’m sure you’ll see from all the images we created and I hope to work with her again sometime soon. [link]

Jesi...."A photoshoot with Scott is like eating pie...it's all good.... I've wanted to work with Scott from the second I saw his gallery, and was so exited to get the chance when I went to melbourne. First and foremost he makes you feel comfitable, he is such a friendly person with a good sense of humor, who genuinly cares about the feelings, concerns and wants of his model. It feels to be a partenership, both collaborating to produce excellent images with real emotion and meaning. He gives excellent direction, the perfect amount to provide guidence without stifuling any vision of the model. Had heaps of fun working with him and hope to do it again in the future."

The part of my job that I like best is finding new talent and exposing it to the world. Sheridan is such an individual; she has an instant flare for modeling, from a classical beautiful face that simply works on camera to legs that seem to go forever. She was a joy to create with and I hope to do so again in the not to distant future. [link]

Sheridan…….”I met with Scott on a very hot Saturday afternoon, and being my first time modeling I was very nervous, but within the first 20 minutes I felt comfortable with Scott and we were laughing like old mates. It felt like I had known him a lot longer than the time I had. After doing some amazing images inside we then went on to break the law (not the first time he has done this I’m sure) by jumping the railing at the State Government Building to shoot up against a very reflective wall, but the end result was defiantly worth the trouble put in. All of his images have an alluring effect and I have a strong appreciation for his creative and artist ideas. I would defiantly recommend the experience to others as I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope to work with him again in the near future."

To meet someone that is completely aware of there body and how to use it, is a rare thing. Chloe has this, and more, from years of being a dancer she is completely flexible and uses her tiny shape in a way I have never seen before. Our blending of styles has led to some very successful photographs, and I hope to work with her again in the not to distant future because it is always a creative and fun time with wonderful results.

Chloe......"Some of you are going to have anxiety attacks reading this...because it isn't my proven form of critique...so to speak! (Hey that rhymed) But that’s only because working with Scott is unlike working with any other photographer.

Working with Scott is like working with your mentor and friend. He knows how to give direction without coming across pushy or perverted. He has vision and inspiration that I hardly come across in this industry! Not to say it isn't there... I loved working with Scott. I felt that I was learning something from each photographic experience. He would have me twist into many god forsaken shapes to arrive at the perfect pose for the perfect picture. Very little post processing is ever done!

Scott is an artist there is no doubt about it. And that's wherein his talent lies. He takes pictures from all kinds or crazy angles. You know how I just said he would get me to bend and twist my body, it’s my relief to say he would get down and dirty for the perfect shot too!! We have worked together on a few projects and the hybrid of my "Glamour" photography and his "Fine Art" photography is one of immense visual and emotional stimulation. Scott is just fantastic and capturing the emotion in a shot. Sometimes I would be unsure of what to do next and mid-movement I would here Scott cry "whoa, hold still!" a few seconds later appearing on the back of his camera would be a "real" emotion, a natural pose and a really cool concept that we would work with.

I don’t just recommend working with Scott I advise and suggest you do it for your own benefit. He brings out beauty in all kinds of women, my size larger and larger still. Beauty is possessed by ALL women, and if your a fine art model who seems to think her beauty gets lost when being photographed. Work with Scott he will help you find your strengths in beauty again.

All my heartfelt thanks to Scott for helping me and creating such wonderful images!!"

Kelly is an endlessly creative person, from drawing and photography, to singing and fashion design, she is constantly on the move and bringing new and interesting things into this big world. I got to spend a week running around the country side creating some beautiful images with her, and she proved herself as an excellent muse, with the perfect shape for artistic nude images.

Kelly..."When Scott James Prebble first added me to his deviantwatch some many months ago- I nearly had a fit! Here was this awesome artist whom I both admired and respected adding me to his list. (I must have bounced for about a week! Or more~) I couldn’t believe it. And when I was given the opportunity to go to Ballarat to work with this wonderful creative man I didn’t even think twice. Scott is so professional, and friendly, I was completely at ease from word go and the fun and creating didn’t stop after that.

I feel privileged to have worked with Scott- and not just that, privileged to be called his friend, because he is just such an amazing person, and my life is richer having him in it. I’m so glad to have met this wonderful crazy-beautiful man, and so very happy to have helped him create more beauty for the world to see."

SuziQ just has one of those shapes that make women jealous and men drop to there knees, the perfect hourglass. This is the first time she had ever posed for a photographer and although quite shy at the start, she soon got into the groove and used her shape to create some really wonderful and emotive images. I hope you enjoy the photographs and welcome her as a muse. [link]

SuziQ… “Today I had the honor and pleasure of meeting and working with Scott. I was wavering between ridiculously excited and terrified about this! I swear I am seriously blessed with such a great opportunity something I had thought up until now was only a fantastic dream.

I smiled nervously and we chatted for about half an hour. I wanted to work with him because I was finally ready to realize some creative goals, expand my influences, and recognize why and how the work he produces is simultaneously unique, but also a part of his creative expression. I had an absolutely wonderful time, lots of fun and it was very laid back and relaxed. He made me feel so at ease, which made the shoot extra fun. He was so great about putting my very obvious nerves to rest and I surprised myself with exactly how much I truly enjoyed it. For me this kind of focused creative exploration is essential to my personal growth, even though we often dont find the time for it in our day-to-day routine. This was a very special and unique opportunity to restore and revitalize my artistic direction. I felt truly beautiful both inside as well as out.
He is the sweetest guy, soft spoken, kind, compassionate - a true pleasure to work with.
I am left with an amazing feeling and quite an accomplishment for a first time session the first of many I hope."

I think I was one of the first to put my hand up when Rachel sent out the call for Aussie artists to collaborate with on her world tour. I have watched her through several accounts here on dA and have always been a fan of the intensity she manages to get into such simple images. We had the plan of continuing that theme through, but also pushing her in new and exciting ways with our work together, and I hope that message shines through, because we had some great conversations at night time, after spending a day out shooting, as to what elements make a strong photograph, and it was always fun reviewing the images created to see if we had achieved that result.

She was a blast to work with, other than having one of the finest fine art bodies New Zealand as ever produced; her creative side is always on, coming up with ideas, concepts and poses on the spot, often on to the next before the previous is captured. As a photographer that is wonderful, but she often heard the words “Wonderful idea..I just need to capture this one first, so hold on !”

I personally think we achieved what we set out to do, and that was to capture a woman in her prime, at 37, strong, free, and confident about who she is. And that makes me happy. I made a wonderful friend and got myself a new muse all in one go, one cant ask much more than that, can they?

Rachel..........”Dont make me look fat !!”
.. Believe it or not that was Scotts request when I took a shot of him, not the other way around, and I tried my best not too.

When I decided to leave New Zealand and travel to Australia
to model for about 10 deviant friends, my first stop HAD to be Scott.

Despite the 4am start to my day and 3hr flight to Melbourne
within half an hour we had begun shooting and didnt really stop.
A creative marathon over 4 days which included being covered in baby oil,
hand cuffed to a showerhead and a road sign wearing
nothing but a zebra bra and panties and red high heels, oh what a tough life he leads..
I even climbed giant hay bales and then watched as he filmed my descent, sliding my ass down the side, Bastard! (just kidding)

I got to be involved in the sculpture process and really enjoyed having a Plaster Cast made of my torso, its nice to know my boobs are staying in Ballarat.

Ive absolutely LOVED the collaboration process. Spinning ideas
and bouncing them around has been sooooooooo much fun. for
each muse brings something of themselves into each photograph.
Seeing what Scott creates at the end of every day is like opening Christmas presents
and its been a fascinating learning experience.

His unbelievably cool photographs continue to surprise & amaze me.
This is a guy with not only huge talent, but a genuine passion for his
cameras and an appreciation for the wonderful female form.
“Its the most beautiful thing in the goddamn world”..he said to me, and
Im beginning to believe him.

This is a guy who melts over the sound of the first frame winding on his Nikon SLR,
and asks Rosie & I to lie across gigantic concrete pipes
on a FREEZING Ballarat winter’s day with a ferocious wind blowing,
and yet we do it ..and we continue to do it because we KNOW the photographs will be stunning and worth the momentary pain involved.

All the muses have been right. Scott is one in a million and this has been
an experience I will always treasure. I’ve had the best damn time and am
I’m already planning my return.

Fleur is one of those creative people that photographers love to find. She moves fluidly and always has an interesting expression going on that beautiful face. You can always tell there is something going on in that creative mind of hers, and it’s amazing to be involved with it. She is a talent behind the camera too, as is clearly shown in her gallery, so go and watch her as you’ll never regret it. [link]

Fleur......Scott James Prebble met me at 9:35 when my train arrived at Ballarat station and said goodbye at 7pm when he set me on my way back to bonny little Melbourne and I loved every minute. Not only is he one of Australia's most talented art photographers but he is a truly lovely man, for all his teasing attempts to make me break 16 years of vegetarianism.

I have followed Scott's art for some time now and I have the utmost respect for what he creates. I felt so confident in his abilities that I lost any vestige of shyness or modest which I may have previously maintained. I had complete faith in his treatment of the female form, of portraits, of his use of light and shadow and infact of anything he might choose to turn his camera on and I was not disappointed. We produced close to 1000 images that day and the standard was incredibly high. How a photographer can maintain their energy and concentration through such a long day and still be creating images of incredible quality at 6:50pm is beyond me.

It was a heroic effort and one which I very much hope he will reprise soon. It was a very enjoyable day and produced such beautiful art that I was honored to be a part of.

One of the very best things about what I do with my work, is being able to pick and choose who I work with, simply because money is never a factor. I choose people who I find inspire me, who bring something to the table, and who I think I will be able to create with, it’s very liberating when you find the right people. Meg is one such person, I always saw potential in her, there was something there from the start that I knew I wanted to shoot, so it was great to finally get a chance to do some images with her. It flowed from the first moment, because knowing someone is a fan of what you create it gets you in a state of mind of “Well what could go wrong, lets just have fun and see how it comes out!” and that’s exactly what we did, wandered around the streets of Melbourne, chatting, laughing, about art, about friends, and when seeing the perfect spot, dropping our bags and going into position and creating. It was fun, and really shouldn’t that be how all of our shoots are, when we are open to it, art just happens, as it did with Meg. And she become more and more confident infront of the lens, things started to happen, images started to appear that took her beyond how she saw herself, and how others saw her, the transformation was startling. And so now, as I look back on the photographs, I remember not only a great afternoon with a wonderful girl, but a creative experience that is very hard to replicate in this big bad world. [link]

Meg…..”One of the first things Scott did when we met was tell me off me for being late. I mumbled something and offered him a cherry ripe, which he took without hesitation after I told him that I had six of them in my bag. Which was true, I did have six, four of which were gone by the end of the day. I also had a multitude of clothes and shoes with me, which Scott bagged, claiming my heels were not heels and that one of my tops was ‘terrible’. But this was all done gently and jokingly and made me feel as if I’d known him for years.

Scott found me sometime last year and I was amazed that someone of his caliber would even think to add me (ME!) to his friends list. But he did, and I voiced my surprise to him in a note, which probably went something like this: “You are a god. Why have you added me, oh mighty one?” well, maybe not like that, but it’s what I was thinking, I’m sure. He, being the charmer that he is, replied something like this: “I’m always looking for new people to shoot so if you wanted to come up to Ballarat for an afternoon I would shoot you gladly. Now bow and kiss my feet, minion.” Well… maybe not the last sentence but I’m sure he thought it.

And so, it started, and he’s been trying to get me to come up to Ballarat ever since.
But alas, he has not yet succeeded and I guess he got sick of waiting, so he came to the city and a day of shooting in various places ensued.

I felt so comfortable with Scott shooting me, there was no awkwardness and I think that is one of the amazing things about him. He has the ability to just, be. I can’t explain it, but it’s great. It was just like meeting up with a good friend and mucking around the city with them all day. He was so gentle and playful about it all.

It was a great experience, one that I won’t forget and that when I think about it, I smile to myself which I’m sure makes everyone around me think I’m a crazy lady. I will defiantly be heading up to Ballarat to repeat this experience in the near future. Except this time there won’t be any wolf-whistling builders or staring passer bys.

Plus, I want more of his hugs. They are good!”

I think people can surprise themselves sometimes with what they can and can’t do. I honestly saw a model in Fabianne as soon as I saw a photograph of her, I knew she could play up to the camera, she had a vamp-ish quality that stood out straight away, but it wasn’t until I met her that it really shone through, as did the amazing curvy body she
had. Full of insecurities from living in this unpredictable world that seems to value stick thin twig models, we worked together on breaking down those boundaries and I tried to show her just how beautiful she was. I think it stuck, I think it sank in, because she can now look at the images and see what others see, and that is the hardest task, really, so I hope you enjoy the exploration on film we created. [link]

Fabianne…..”It all started with a friend request on myspace, which lead to the "What the hell is he doing adding me?" response. The next thing I know I'm standing at his front door absolutely terrified, but as soon as I walked through the door though all unease disappeared. Scott has a remarkable ability to make his house feel like it's yours and that you have been friends for years. I have never had much confidence in myself, and there were things I'd told myself I'd never be able to do, I think Scott proved everything wrong on this one day and opened my eyes. I have always been a strong believer in inner beauty and now I see that it is possible to display that inner beauty on the outside. Scott has the beautiful ability to capture all that you are.

It was an unbelievable experience, Scott pushed every boundary I had and I loved every second of it. I have walked away from the shoot with an amazing respect for the person I am and also with the utmost respect for this gentle man with his camera. And I look forward to having more of my boundaries pushed and torn down in the future.”

Ari makes such a wonderful Muse, simply because she is more actress than model, which is wonderful in the recent turn I have taken in my work. She always brings something to a shoot, and plus lets face it she is just damn gorgeous, and we are constantly bouncing ideas off each other and searching for weird and wild props to use in photographic works. She inspires me no end, and I never tire of spending time with her or pointing the shiny end of my camera at her. She is also a great little creative mind in her own right which can be seen in her own gallery, so please go and check out this woman and give her the support she deserves. [link]

Ari......"A Polaroid 1000 is what first bought Sir Prebble and I together, before I could say Fester’s your uncle he had me in front of one myself! I completely cherish this boy and everything we do together. He's so humble I often forget exactly how great he is at what he does (until one of his adoring fans tells me on a shot I've taken of him). Watching Scott photograph is incredible, he buzzes - you can hear his brain ticking. He seems to be captivated by his environment and subjects, whether that's me in a teeny red dress or a barbed wire fence on a stormy day he captures it perfectly. We clicked from the word go and we collaborate really well, we're always bouncing ideas off each other to get the best out of ourselves we possibly can.
Scott realizes that if you treat your models like people rather than clothes (or lack thereof) horses you'll get more out of them and that's one of the things that makes his images stand out to me. Scott is a true artist in the way that he sees art in the things other people don't look twice at. It makes him a very interesting, fun and inspiring chap to spend time with and I'm lucky enough to spend a hell of a lot of my time with him.

But wait there's more! Not only is he an incredible artist but for an extra $19.99 he's also a charming fellow! Scott was there for me when I most needed someone to help me out, even though we barely knew each other. At my darkest hour when I should have been really upset, the kindly gentleman cheered me up by letting me ride his new BMX around the markets and trying to squish children. We now know each other a lot better and continue to support each other and drive our passions in life (and other places.....;) ) but we're always having fun! By looking at the photos we've done together, one would be forgiven for wondering if Scott and I have ever grown past 5 years old. The answer to that is no we haven't -we're still sitting up late watching Series 1 of the Transformers after the camera's are off, most likely eating candy. There's definitely more to Scott than meets the eye."
